It is my pleasure to introduce you to the wet n wild Flights of Fancy collection. Reviewing the limited edition collections is a very popular series on the blog, and I am glad that I get to do it yet another time for you all. This is definitely a collection to get pumped up for. With past collections the shades included were not typically everyday wear friendly, and more so intentioned for collectors. Flights of Fancy is definitely wearable and suitable for a variety of skintones. This is the largest collection that wet n wild has ever released, and it is for a good cause. They are donating $10,000 to the Audubon Society, which is a nonprofit that cares for birds! How awesome is that?! I will say that I am displeased that the collection box does not contain the full collection. With all of this being said, I do have the entire collection and I am doing reviews, swatches, and up-close views. Time to get started!

While the wet n wild limited Flights of Fancy collection is pretty awesome, I must admit I am overly stoked about the collectible pin. It is included with the box while supplies last. I think it is super cute, and I will put the pin on my denim jacket.

wet n wild Pro Brush Line Blush Brush P72

The first product in the wet n wild Flights of Fancy collection is a pro brush line blush brush reminds me a lot of the Real Techniques Bold Metals brush blush. wet n wild’s version is a tad bit larger. Based upon my extensive experience with the Real Techniques brush, I believe this one will do the job. This special edition brush is actually purple, while the brush line itself is pink.

So far I am hearing good things about this primer water. Considering that the mister works great on their Natural and Matte setting sprays, I anticipate the same results with the primer water. I will say that it frustrates me when wet n wild releases innovate beauty products for the drugstore as limited edition. They are usually amazing and inexpensive, and products that you want to stick around. wet n wild, if you are reading this, can we keep the primer water, lip scrubs, and the Goth-o-Graphic loose highlighting powder, please?

I have said many times over that I absolutely detest lip gloss due to the feel and horrible staying power. However, I will compliment wet n wild’s formula. The coloricon lip glosses are pleasingly pigmented and smooth, without feeling as sticky on the lips as other glosses. I am trying to get into using the ones that I have more layered over lipsticks. The shades in the Flights of Fancy collection are beautiful and definitely scream summer. If you are a lip gloss queen, you may want to consider picking these up. I think my favorite is Featherless, but check out that punch of color from Pout of Paradise!

wet n wild megaliner Liquid Eyeliners

I have felt underwhelmed by the megaliner eyeliners in past collections. I think it is because the metallic formula makes them patchy and streaky. There are two standard formula liners in this collection, leaving Gilded Wings as the metallic liquid eyeliner. Gilded Wings swatches very well. I really like how the remaining two swatches are turning out. They are highly pigmented in one swipe. With some less expensive eyeliners I have run into the issue of the product wiping away as you build up the line on your eyes. I do not anticipate that these will do the same. I am not a fan of wild colors in my makeup, but this collection really makes me want to branch out. You Are My Wingman is just stunning. While it does seem like more of a lip shade, I am dying to put it on my eyes.

Potted lip scrubs already exist in the beauty world, but I cannot think of any at the drugstore level. wet n wild is killing it with these two scrubs. First of all, they smell delicious, especially the watermelon one! Second, you get a generous amount of product per pot. The grit is fine and gentle enough that your lips get effectively exfoliated, without discomfort. I like to follow up exfoliation with a lip balm.

wet n wild normally does a good job with blush, highlighter, and the like. In swatching these I think the wet n wild quality is there, but I do have some concerns. Hummingbird Hype is more of a gold-tone with a smidge of pink, but not enough pink to call it rose gold. It is hardly a blush shade. Furthermore, all of the blushes are extremely shimmery, to the point that I think they will function better as highlighter. These shades are honestly be too dark for my complexion to use as highlighter. I presume that I will use them as blush that casts it’s own highlight, but I find the color choices and formula to be odd choices.

I love me some wet n wild eyeshadow, and these colors are gorgeous! wet n wild always hits it out of the ballpark for drugstore pigmentation and color choice, and this set is no different. I do not notice much kick-up while swatching these quads. While everything is nice, I am attracted to Hasta LaCosta Baby the most.

wet n wild megalast Nail Color

The last set I want to discuss in the wet n wild Flights of Fancy collection is the nail box. I am excited to discover that these megalast nail colors have the ManiCurve brush. The brush is super soft and is the correct size for effortlessly painting your nails. It also spreads out to coat the nail. I am surprised to see that wet n wild is not using their standard megalast bottle for these polishes. In fact, you get less polish per bottle with these bottles. The colors are not necessarily unique for my monster of a collection, but they are summery and I will be rocking them this summer. I am pleased with the swatches. I think my favorite is The High Life because I am a sucker for blue nail polish and plenty of glitter.

To summarize the wet n wild Flights of Fancy collection, if you have been wondering if it is worth the hype I really do think it is. Even though it contains some products or colors that are not necessarily up my alley, I know that they will be appreciated by others. It is obvious to me the time and thought that went into curating this collection, down to the color choices, innovative products, and the sheer amount of products that are in this collection. Despite the yet again horrible release experience, I do give my stamp of approval to this collection. Will you be purchasing anything after seeing my swatches?
