You can imagine my excitement while seeing wet n wild release a 2018 Spring Season in a Box. They did not do a winter box this year, and rightfully so, as they released a boatload of new products into the regular line. I have to say, I did miss the box regardless. I am lucky to get my hands on the wet n wild Goth-o-Graphic collection. This collection is supposed to be anti-unicorn, and pro pastel goth/grunge. The theme is holographic, although I have yet to see true holographic makeup. I am a fan of the box and the almost holographic packaging on the items. I am not a skull person, but the design does get an A+ from me. Now is the time to open the box and explore the treasures within.

wet n wild megaglo Highlighting Stick in Hell-o Darkness

The first item in the wet n wild Goth-o-Graphic collection is a new product for the company- a highlighting stick. It glides on smoothly and is not sticky. It has a purple hue to it, making it more of a once in a while use for me, but definitely not daily. They should consider releasing more shades in wearable tones.

wet n wild megalast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Lipsticks

I am highly disappointed by the swatches in this round of metallic lipsticks. This bunch swatches super sheer, as if the product is dried out. No matter what I try I cannot get the pigment to build. These may be pretty over top of a lipstick. I say pass on these. For the most part, only the pink is a wearable, daily color.

I am much more impressed by the swatches of the liquid eyeshadows from the wet n wild Goth-o-Graphic collection. They are just as good as any from past collections. The formula is very wet and workable. I think Pure Intension is the most beautiful out of the bunch.

I do not have much to complain about with these eyeliners. They are somewhat metallic and are satisfyingly pigmented. I really cannot foresee reaching for any of these unusual colors. I have a hunch that the pigmentation will disappear as you try to layer these eyeliners, but I need to use them on my eye to confirm.

I am huge fan of the megaglo highlighting powders, so I am pumped for new shades. Both of these are very pretty. Purple Ashes is quite bizarre, mainly because it is pink, not purple. I really cannot make it shine in the swatch, and I am concerned that it is too dark for my skin tone. However, I do like how it looks on my face, so do not count it out. White Raven has a pink/purple shift.

wet n wild megaglo Loose Highlighting Powder in Moon Tears

The final product in the wet n wild Goth-o-Graphic collection is my favorite. This is my first loose highlighting power, and it is beyond pretty! I definitely recommend it, and I hope wet n wild releases more as permanent shades. Moon Tears is a light golden-champagne highlight, not meant for those that despite a glittery glow.

After reviewing each of the items in this wet n wild Goth-o-Graphic collection, I can confirm that nothing is truly “holographic” when using the correct definition of the term. All of these items are metallic in some way, and some do have a color shift to them. I do believe that it is not currently possible to make holographic makeup, so I am not upset by any means.
