February is drawing to a close fast, which means it is time for my Play! by Sephora February 2018 review. Since this is the month of love, we must not forget to love ourselves! This month’s box claims to put a focus on self-love. I do expect a lot of skincare and haircare. But, who knows, anything can pop out from inside the bag! Time to cut the seal on the box and to lift up the flaps.

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb

The first product in my Play! by Sephora February 2018 review is an eye moisturizer from Belif. I have received a few facial moisturizers from Belif in past Play! boxes, and they always leave my skin feeling moisturized to the touch all day. This cream is specifically for the eye area and claims to moisturize and boost elasticity. Simply pat a small amount in the under-eye area. The product is translucent white and has the same clean and fresh scent as other Belif creams.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen in Rose

My first thought after reading the name of this product is that it is a sugar lip scrub. It is actually an SPF lip balm that is supposed to tint your lips a rose color. The sugar in the product helps to lock in moisture. This lip balm can be applied throughout the day as needed. Do not expect much pigment on the lips, as it is lacking in the swatch. I really like the brushed pink chrome packaging. It has a weight and feeling of quality.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Rose Gold

I already got this product about a year ago in a Play! box, in the same exact shade. I still have the other one because I do not gravitate to products such as this. Seriously, give me new stuff to try to make my money worth it. This is a cream eyeshadow stick that glides on smoothly without tugging. The pigmentation and shine is beautiful. Rose gold is a perfect shade for inner corner and brow bone highlight.

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm

I love the pastel green hue of this product from my Play! by Sephora February 2018 review! It gives me such a clean and inviting feeling. This is a balm that claims to cleanse makeup away and moisturize, featuring an oil-based formula. The product feels pretty solid, but I imagine it will get soft after you dig your finger in. You are to rub it all over your face, then rinse. I like to use makeup removing cleansers in the shower to minimize mess. This product has a natural, almost medicinal scent.

Sephora Collection Rouge Matte Lipstick in Rebel Chic

The bullet of this lipstick appears much darker than the actual swatch. I am expecting something more mauvy brown. Rebel Chic is definitely in the berry family, one of which I do not reach for often. The pigmentation is absolutely buildable, all the way to intense full coverage. It swatches easily without tugging my skin and sets completely matte. The product claims to be long-lasting and comfortable on the lips. I liked the feel of the matte black packaging.

Chloe Eau De Parfum

The last item in my Play! by Sephora February 2018 review is a bonus perfume sample. Since this perfume has the same name as the brand, I imagine this is Chloe’s signature scent. It is a highly feminine and playful perfume from the floral side of life. The notes include rose, peony, and honey.

My final impression from my Play! by Sephora February 2018 review is so so. I am not overwhelmed or underwhelmed by the box. For the most part I see the self-love theme, but I am not really sure how the lipstick or eye caviar fit in. I am never a fan of repeat products, but I am happy for a perfume sample this month. I think I am most excited to try the makeup melt and eye bomb. Which of these products do you recommend or want to try? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
