I know that December is almost over and that I have still not posted my Play! by Sephora December 2017 review. No worries, I am better late than never. I hope that in the new year I can get back on track with posting and unboxings. I am intrigued by the theme of this month’s box, which is “The 2017 Play! List.” The Play! boxes have been heavy on primers (especially illuminating ones) and facial moisturizers. I am hoping for a different mix this month. We will not know until we dive in.

I am liking the 1920’s vibes with the bag and paper insert.

Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1

The first product in my Play! by Sephora December 2017 review is a Drybar spray that claims to revive lifeless hair while adding volume, texture, and body. It also is for extending blowouts. The instructions state to separate your hair into sections. Shake the can well and spray the product onto your roots. Be sure to hold the can about six inches away from your head.

Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream

This cream is to be applied to areas of the skin that are dry and/or irritated. Apply after cleansing and press into the skin for maximum absorption. This cream has an herbal, medicinal scent and is white. I think it is exactly what the doctor ordered for my left elbow. For some reason that elbow is very dry and red, and only on the tip of the elbow. Nothing I try is healing it.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in Hot Red

The Artist Rouge lipsticks are supposed to have an ultra creamy formula with high pigmentation for lasting color. Hot Red is a classic red. It glides onto my skin effortlessly with instant, streak-free pigmentation, supporting the claims.

Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in Black

I like a good eyelining pen that has a fine tip so that I can control how thick my eyeliner look will be that day. I find that when the tips are not fine enough I end up looking like a raccoon when all I wanted was a thin line of eyeliner. This eyeliner should work out for me. It claims to be long lasting. This is a huge sample, even though it is not full size!

Smashbox Cover Shot Eyeshadow Duo in Golden Hour

This is yet another impressive deluxe sample! In this eyeshadow duo we get two smaller pans taken from the Golden Hour palette. The pigmentation is just fine and the shadows feel smooth. The only claims this eyeshadow makes is that it is high pigment.

Atelier Cologne Clementine California

The last item in my Play! by Sephora December 2017 review is my third Atelier cologne sample. I do like the fun postcards that come with the samples, but I highly dislike that the perfumes never have a sprayer. I notice that Atelier colognes are always citrus based, and this one is no different. The notes include clementine, mandarine, star anise, and cypress.

This concludes my Play! by Sephora December 2017 review. I have to admit that I am relieved that I do not have any primers or moisturizers in this box, and that I have a decent amount of new makeup to play with. I am also blown away by the sample sizes of the eyeliner and eyeshadow. This is not my favorite box of 2017, but it was much better than the previous few boxes. What do you think about the last box of 2017? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
