It has been a really long time since I have purchased from elf, but this 50% off sale is not to be missed! For me to make a purchase it really depends on how many product have been released from the “new” category, qualifying them for a sale purchase. This elf haul 12 is a combination of new to me products, as well as buying more shades of products I already love. If you love hauls, and drugstore makeup as much as I do, then you are in the right place!
Eyes
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Molten Liquid Eyeshadow Rose Gold
The first item in my elf haul 12 is another molten liquid eyeshadow. This is the second in my collection. Each of the liquid eyeshadows are super shiny and completely dry down and stay in place. The small doefoot applicator spreads the product out evenly without patchiness. However, you can use your finger to spread out the product if you prefer. It dries down in enough time to allow you to work with it.
e.l.f. Best Friend Eyeshadow Duos
These eyeshadow duos swatch poorly. I do note that the peach color in the Peach Squad duo feels soft and buttery, very different from the other colors. It is possible that these will apply better with a brush.

e.l.f. Sculpting Silk Eyeshadow in Rose All Day
I like the color selection in this Rose All Day Sculpting Silk Eyeshadow. Again, pigmentation is lacking in the finger swatch.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Glowing Eyes Palette in Matte Essentials
Pigmentation is a little bit better with this Beautifully Bare Glowing Eyes palette, but still not as good as I like to see. One of the shades matches my skin tone and will not show up on my skin for anything. I also think the two mid-tone browns are very similar and will not stand out on the eyelid.
e.l.f. Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palettes
Out of all of the eyeshadow palettes that I am swatching in this haul, these two palettes are the best in terms of quality and pigmentation. I already have the original Mad for Matte palette, and definitely want to complete my collection. I highly adore the color schemes in each of these palettes. Both have suitable base, highlight, and crease shades. The most concerning thing I am running into while swatching is that the pans are wiggling around in the Holy Smokes palette. It feels like the glue is loose and that the pans may fall out!

Brows/eyes
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Brow Gel in Medium
I think this Sheer Tint Brow Gel will be a good shade match for my eyebrows. I like how the applicator is angled. That should make application a breeze. The applicator is like a very thin mascara wand, with grooves like a screw.
e.l.f. Shadow, Brow, and Liner Palette
This is basically an eyeshadow palette that e.l.f. wants you to use as eyeshadow, brow filling powder, or as eyeliner. I think this palette will work really great as a neutral, matte eyeshadow palette. Also, all of the shades make excellent crease/transition shades. I think this is a handy palette to keep around because we all have other eyeshadow palettes that we really like, but they have no suitable crease shades. You can easily reach for this palette as a supplement. As far as using this palette as eyebrow powder, I can only use the last shade. Perhaps if you are a blonde you can make this palette work. Finally, I will not use it as a liner palette. None of the shades are dark enough in my opinion to be used as liner. I think the pigmentation and formula is fine.
Face
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette in Fresh & Flawless
The Natural Glow Face Palette is a big letdown for me because the pigmentation is severely lacking. To make matters worse, the blushes are extremely chalky and I cannot make them swatch. Additionally, the top left shade that is supposed to be a highlighter is not shimmery/shiny at all and is a strange, dark color! I do not see how applying it with a brush will cause it to look shiny. I do not even know who can pull off such a peculiar shade. Save your money on this one.
e.l.f. Shimmer Highlighting Powders
I am purchasing two more of the shimmer highlighting powders in this haul because I am obsessed with the other two I own! Pearl glow is a white highlighter, which is my favorite kind. You may have noticed that there is a product missing from my haul picture up above. The second highlighter, Rose Glow, arrived to me completely destroyed. I do not want to hold up posting this while I wait for the replacement. No worries, e.l.f. is sending me another. I still want to show it so that you all can see the color and decide if you want to purchase it. I am swatching it by dipping my finger in the rubble and swiping it on my skin.

Tools/brushes
e.l.f. Silicone Glitter Applicator
I have never seen a Silicone Glitter Applicator before, and I need to try it! I am thinking that it might be helpful for shimmery and foiled eyeshadows- the kind that work the best with a damp brush.
e.l.f. Crease Brush
I feel like I am still on the hunt for the perfect crease brush. I do not yet have this one, so it cannot hurt to give it a go.
e.l.f. Detail Crease Brush
While I am picking up the regular crease brush, why not try out the smaller version- the detail crease brush?
e.l.f. Daily Brush Cleaner
The final product in my elf haul 12 is a holy-grail repurchase for me, and a product that I rave about frequently. Daily Brush Cleaner is a product that you use in between regular deep cleanings. It removes color from your brush and sanitizes it. I never have any color transfer from the day before. This spray really extends your brush’s cleanliness in between cleanings.
This elf haul 12 is so-so in my book. A lot of the swatches are lackluster for me. It is important to remember in cases like these that finger swatches do not tell the whole story. Sometimes products apply better with a brush. With that being said, I will hold out hope that I am not buying mostly duds. I do have some real top-notch finds in the bunch. Will you try any of these products? Let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
