It is that time again for another unboxing! The theme of this Play! by Sephora November 2017 review is Survival of the Chillest. This box is intended to bring you some much needed pampering before the holiday rush starts. I really like that idea! I think we often forget that we need to treat ourselves while we are running around making sure that the holidays will turn out perfect. Let’s jump straight into the unboxing and review.

There is a strong, really yummy smell hitting me in the face as I sit over the products. The smell is coming from the hair balm! I also like how the informational insert can be colored in. That is very relaxing and fits right in with the self pamper theme.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

The first product in my Play! by Sephora November 2017 review is a charcoal face mask that claims to draw out impurities from your pores while making your skin brighter and smoother with a gentle, yet effective formula. The directions state to open your pores with a warm, wet washcloth before slathering the product all over your face. You can use it once a week for optimal results. I already do a weekly charcoal mask, so I will substitute this one right into my routine.

Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Cloud Cream

This is yet another hydrating face cream. While I do enjoy them, I feel like we get them quite often. This product has a lightweight formula that will supposedly deliver lasting moisture. It is to be applied to your face and neck in the morning and at night. It is a white, unscented cream.

IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm

I cannot get over how amazing this product smells! It is probably the coconut oil providing the appealing aroma. This hair balm is a leave in conditioner that makes many claims. It is supposed to hydrate, add shine, reduce frizz, detangle, and repair your hair. I can definitely stand to use a product that will do all of those things! The directions state to start with a dime-sized amount and apply it to damp hair from mid-length to ends. You can then apply more as needed and let your hair air dry or blow dry. The product itself is clear.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

While this is no surprise, I am not excited to get yet another sample mascara. Velvet Noir appears to me to be a basic black mascara and wand. However, the wand is slightly hourglass shaped. The mascara claims to make your lashes much longer and voluminous.

Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Perfect Nude

This may be called a lip gel, but that is nothing more than a fancy name for a lipgloss. I absolutely hate lipgloss because of the stick feel and poor staying power. This product is definitely sticky and sheer. It claims to make your lips appear visually plumped with a high shine formula. You can wear it alone or over lipstick. I try to wear the lipglosses I do own over lipstick because they stay better and feel less disgusting. I think this one is too sheer to be worn alone anyway. The doe foot applicator has an unusual hourglass shape. I prefer Sephora to not keep sending different lipgloss samples from their own line and show us some Sephora Collection variety.

Burberry My Burberry Blush

We have arrived at the final product in my Play! by Sephora November 2017 review. My Burberry Blush screams feminine with fun fruity and floral notes. The notes include pomegranate, lemon, geranium, and rose petal.

I thought the last few Play! boxes were phenomenal and over-the-top. This one does not wow me. It seems as though the box has gone back to “normal.” How do you feel about my Play! by Sephora November 2017 review? Are you happy with the products in this box? Let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
