Fall Shopping Haul 2017

It has been three months since I have had the opportunity to have a shopping day, which is three months too long. I was not able to go out and shop on labor day because we hosted a cookout. I finally made it out of the house to do a Fall shopping haul for 2017 and got some long-awaited products on my list. A big part of this trip was about finding some professional clothing, since I am in that season of life. Of course, I still picked up plenty of fun fashion, accessories, makeup, and more, because I cannot go without doing so! I think this haul contains plenty of items and helpful tips that you will definitely want to add to your list and make note of. Without further ado, we shall jump into this shopping haul from my favorite stores.

Fall Shopping Haul

Ross Dress for Less

I am starting my Fall shopping haul with a bunch of jeans (and pants) from Ross. I prefer to buy a lot of my jeans from Ross because they carry high-quality jeans at prices that cannot be beat. I always pay between $11.99 - $15 for my pants and jeans from Ross. I highly recommend that next time you are out shopping and find yourself eyeing up a $40 pair of good jeans that you put them back on the rack and wait to visit Ross. Besides that, all of Ross's clothing is of great quality and at low prices. It always shocks me that they have so many trendy pieces for the season! I love grabbing shirts for $10 or less!

Jeans and Pants

365 Denim Jeans

I thought the wash of these jeans and the color that the wash provides was so unique, I just had to get them.

365 Denim Jeans

VIP Denim Jeans

I really like jeans with destructed elements, and I try to own jeans with a variety of rips. These rips are very tame, and I do not have any lightly destructed jeans such as these.

VIP jeans

Encore Denim Jeans

I was attracted to these very dark washed jeans that come pre-cuffed. I have been really digging cuffed jeans paired with booties. Also, I tend to cuff my jeans anyway because I am a short lady.

Encore jeans

Chocolate U.S.A. Olive Pants

I was attracted to these pants because they totally look like professional pants when you cover up the gold details. In addition, olive is totally on trend. These olive pants are much darker than the ones I already own. The gold details are to die for.

Charmed by Eve professional jacket

This jacket was such a score! It has padded shoulders, but the rest of the jacket is very loose and not as structured, which will make it ultra comfortable. I appreciate how it is a bit longer in the front. The 3/4 sleeves have a slight rouche detail. It was only $13.99- sign me up!

Love J gold studded crop top

This top is my absolute favorite piece of this shopping trip! The style is so Gaga-esque to me, being as that I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. This white crop top is covered in round, gold studs. It features a zipper on the back for dressing ease. I found it on the clearance rack and you may notice a light red stain on the top middle. It looks like a hint of red lipstick, but that is nothing that I cannot clean off. I am going to pair this shirt with the olive pants featured above because it's cropped nature will show off the gold details on the pants which are too cute to cover up.

Love J gold studded crop top

Meraki gray polka dot choker neck blouse

This blouse is a great professional find! The choker neck enables me to keep my signature style while still looking business ready. The cute 3/4 sleeves have a ruffled detail. The back has a small slit that comes together with a button. I like the slight high-low detail. I find shirts cut in that manner to be more flattering.

Meraki gray polka dot blouse

Sweet Wanderer zipper pocket top

This shirt is an excellent piece that can be dressed up or down. It is a tad bit sheer polyester material that is ever so slightly high-low cut. I love the gold accents to the moon and back. I think this top will look great with the No Boundaries medium wash jeans coming up later and some booties as a transitional outfit.

Sweet Wanderer zipper pocket top

Alyssa handbag

I find this handbag to be very unique, due to the eight gold o-rings on the bottom of the bag (four on the front and four in the back). It features a turn-lock closure, carrying strap, and large gold o-ring that can also be used for carrying. I will pair it with the gold studded crop top and olive pants from above.

Ecotools Limited Edition Anniversary Collection

I am all about name-brand beauty steals at Ross. I found this Ecotools 10-year anniversary set for $9.99. I imagine that it retailed for $20 at one time. Ecotools brushes are excellent quality with ultra soft bristles. I will discuss the tube and brushes from top down.

The rosegold recycled aluminum storage tube fits the brushes perfectly! I was afraid that the largest brush was going to have the bristles smushed in the lid, but everything fits great.

The first brush is the Airbrushed Finishing brush. It will be great for all-over setting powder application.

The next brush is the Controlled Setting brush, which is a small highlighting brush! I think it is highly important to have a variety of highlighting brushes in your collection. This one is the smallest style that I own. I also have e.l.f.'s highlighting brush, which is similar in shape but larger, and I have a few fan brushes. I see beauty guru's using these various types all the time, and I am so excited to try this one.

The Angled Crease brush is meant for applying eyeshadow to your crease. This is an interesting concept to me, and one that I need to try out.

Next is the Spoolie, which is used for brushing out your eyebrows and for distributing product after applying eyebrow powders and creams. I use one every time I do my makeup, but I really did not need another one.

The Eye/lip Blur brush is for blurring out lip liner or eyeshadow, especially around your waterline.

The last brush is the Eyeliner brush, designed to apply cream and powder eyeliners.

Galaxy Leggings

I have a funny story behind these leggings. I totally wanted to do the long sweater and galaxy legging look that was trendy years ago, and I got a little impatient about finding all of the pieces for the look. I finally got a good sweater for it after what seemed like years of searching. However, the only leggings available to me were size large and bigger, and they were capri leggings. Rather than waiting another season to create the OOTD I went ahead and bought the large thinking that they would be long enough to reach my booties (I am a size small). They did work, and they fit my legs fine, but they were awkwardly large around my waist (which was hidden under the sweater). I did create the OOTD, but I finally found these size small ankle leggings to replace the other pair.

Silky Choker Neck Tees

I bought these two tees for professional wear because they are silky. They have a choker neck and rouching down the sides.

White Destructed Tee

I bought this destructed white tee with holes because it reminds me of Lady Gaga. Has anyone seen her Five Foot Two documentary?! It was so good, and she wore a lot of white tees (both destructed and non-destructed) with black jeans. I totally want to do that look. I was surprised by the weight of this tee and the longer length. I like the cuffed sleeves.

Medium Wash Skinny Jeans

I got these soft and stretchy skinny jeans for $5! The wash is a little bit different for my collection, and pairs great with the red shirt from my Ross trip.

Faded Glory

Tie Sleeve Sweater

I thought this was the perfect professional sweater. I love burgundy. The sleeves get a bit wider as they reach the end, and have a slit that is tied shut with a large, silver grommet and a strip of the sweater fabric. It also comes in black, which I may purchase.

Walmart Faded Glory Tie Sleeve Sweater

Wine V-neck Tee

I love my comfy around the house tees just as much as I love my fashion. This was a clearanced v-neck tee in a color that I buy way too much of.

Accessories

Gold & Silver Chainmail Chokers

My choker collection continues to grow with these two chainmail chokers, which remind me a lot of the coin necklace trend.

Walmart Chainmail Chokers gold and silver

Gold leaf tiered necklace

This necklace is glam to me with the gold and leaf accents.

Walmart gold leaf tiered necklace

Silver mirror bead knot necklace

I thought this was a unique piece. The beading is silver and reflective, and I like how the strands are knotted around the faux-leather bands.

Halloween rosegold cat ears headband

This is technically a Halloween headband, but I bought it with a purpose. I am going to use it to hold my hair back when I do my makeup. The cat ears are so cute and I love the rosegold glitter. My current makeup headband is a bit small for me and I risk snapping it in half on my head.

Beauty Treats Roses Eyeshadow Palette

I have a Beauty Treats blush and contour palette, and each have extreme pigmentation that lasts all day. A light dip of the brush in the product is all that you need. Because of that and the reviews that I have watched of other Beauty Treats eyeshadows, I figured I would give this one a try. The eyeshadows themselves feel pretty standard, nothing too buttery about them. The pigmentation is unfortunately so-so. The third shade in the top row is a complete dud- I could not get any color from it. I also had trouble with the first shade in the second row. I need to apply this palette to my eyes with brushes before I make the call to pass it on. I thought the colors were so pretty!

wet n wild megalast Hard as Ice Topcoat

This is a repeat purchase for me. My bottle is running extremely low so I decided to grab it while I was there. I cannot say enough good things about this topcoat. It really does increase the staying time of your manicure with high shine. I totally need to do an updated nail care routine/manicure post where I will detail this product.

Pretty Nails Non-Acetone Instant Polish Remover

I have been thinking about trying out or creating my own nail polish remover pot. I am sure you have seen these before- pots filled with a sponge saturated in nail polish remover. I found this one for $3 and was really curious. The formula is non-acetone, which is gentler on the nails and can be used on artificial nails. It claims to have conditioners in the formula. There is one big hole in the middle where you insert your nails. I know other brands tend to have five slots cut in the sponge for your fingers. I have used this once and it worked SO well! I inserted two fingers at a time and used an up and down motion while making sure my nails were rubbing the sponge. It removed 10 fingers of polish in minutes, rather effortlessly. This was so much faster than using cotton balls and scrubbing! I am beyond glad that I purchased this and I highly recommend it. It even includes a toenail dobber. The sponge is very saturated, really the pot is filled with liquid remover.

Room 2 Room Marquee Lightbox

Lightboxes are really trendy in home decor right now. $5 is the cheapest I have ever seen one of these, so I got it. It included 100 letters, numbers, and emojis. It feels a little cheap but works great and is nice and bright. The only really cheap thing about it is that the letters and numbers are stickers that are applied to a clear rectangle. The stickers try to peel up when I put the numbers on the lightbox. Definitely be careful with them.

Room 2 Room Pineapple Throw Pillow

If I ever walked out of Five Below without a pillow it would be a miracle. You know me, I have a pineapple obsession and this cute little pillow is great for my life.

I have not seen this color at the DT yet, nor do I have it in my collection, so I snatched it up.

Global Beauty Care

Collagen Face Masks

I found the blue Retinol masks in my local DT, but not these Collagen masks. Of course I want to try them. You get two masks per package. Collagen is supposed to firm and tone the skin. You may have seen the Global Beauty Care makeup removing wipes in the corresponding blue and pink packaging at your store. I like those, too. You get a decent amount for $1 and they are not dried out.

Charcoal Cleansing Nose Strips

I was so happy to find these because they were on my wishlist and my stores did not get them! You get three nose strips per pack. I have used a variety of strips but I feel as though I never see results with them. I already used a strip and did see stuff stuck on it after use. Maybe it is just in my mind, but I think my nose pores are cleaner now.

Luminesscence Mirror Candle Holder

If you keep an eye out for these candle mirrors then you may know that they are hard to find. I finally found one! I plan on using mine as a foundation/makeup mixing palette. It will be easy to clean and the mirror adds some glamor. I made sure that the sides are rounded before purchasing it because I do not want to slice my fingers on it. In case you are wondering, my walls are green which is why the mirror is reflecting green.

Magnets

Yay, I found two magnets on my wishlist! These are kinda canvas-like. I love my flamingos and pineapples.

essence

Lash Princess mascara

There are no stores in my city that carry essence makeup, so I wanted to grab some popular items to try. I have heard so many good things about Lash Princess that I had to try it. Also, why not try essence stuff since they are so cheaply priced!

Say NO to Redness in Pastel Green

I have a thing about testing out different redness color correctors. This one is very pastel, which reminds me of the one in the Maybelline master camo palette that I like. It is creamy and blended easily with my finger.

Eyebrow Designer in Brown

As if I needed another basic eyebrow pencil. In fact, this one is very similar to the Jordana Fabubrow pencil that I have. I saw the price and just had to try it.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Finishing Powder

I was taken aback by the size of the e.l.f selection at Target, which is the largest in-store sellection that I have seen. I had to grab something that is normally only available online to me. I have a good feeling that this powder will leave me with a nice blurred and soft look. I did swatch it, which is kind of dumb to do with face powders. It does feel soft.

Pixi + itsjudytime ItsLipTime Lip Color Palette

I have a really stupid story to share with you about this palette. There are no stores in my city that sell Pixi, so I was intrigued when I saw the brand. I decided that I would splurge on a $24 Pixi eyeshadow palette, since I saw good reviews on the itsjudytime palettes. There were two palettes, and for some reason I thought that they were BOTH eyeshadow palettes, so I went with the one below because I liked the colors. When I got home I realized that this is a LIP palette! I was so mad that I spent $24 on it because I am NOT a fan of lip palettes. I do not know why I did not read the package in the store, and the product did not look shiny to me. It is not worth the drive to return it, so I will stick with it. I have to say, the colors complement the Naked Heat palette well. My thing with lip palettes are that you tend to hit pan quickly, pigmentation usually is lacking, and I do not reach for them based on my lip color routine. I did try to swatch this palette by circling my finger in the pans (which is what the directions say to do). I was having trouble getting color payoff on the lighter shades (especially the first one), so I decided it was not worth my time or the trouble to try to swatch the whole palette. I got more pigment from the darker shades, but they are sheer. This palette also came with a self-adhesive mirror, which I find odd. I would rather not have a mirror instead of sticking it on the inside of the clear lid.

Ulta

Urban Decay Naked Heat palette

I have been waiting to purchase this palette since it came out. I am a really weird person who likes to buy these types of items in-store, even though I can get it online anytime. There is no Sephora or Ulta in my city, and I was tired of waiting to go to a Sephora. I bit the bullet and bought the palette at Ulta. I now have all of the Naked palettes. I am so obsessed with the colors in this palette. The eyeshadows are, of course, highly pigmented and buttery.

essence Make Me Brow in 03 Soft Browny Brows

Beauty gurus love Make Me Brow and say that it is a dupe for Benefit's Gimme Brow. I wanted to try it out, but this shade is completely wrong for me. Both Target and Ulta had no colors darker than this one. I thought that the name meant I could get away with it, but how on earth is this shade brown?! It is totally blonde. I will probably have to pass it on.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

The final item in my Fall shopping haul is an item that I have been wanting to try for forever due to the great reviews. I was annoyed that when I was finally ready to purchase it that they were sold out of the slightly darker version. I used a 15% off on a single item coupon to get it. Always check Ulta coupons before shopping in-store or online because they always have the $3.50 off a $15+ purchase or the 15% coupon! Just as I feared, the swatch barely showed up on my skin. I had this problem with another Physicians Formula bronzer and ended up giving it away. I still hold out hope that applying it with a brush to my face will yield some color payoff. The product really is soft and buttery and has a tropical scent. It comes with an odd sponge applicator that I will not be using. A constant complaint of mine is the bulkiness of their packaging. It takes up so much space which is not good for us beauty junkies.

Those are all of the items in my Fall shopping haul for 2017. What do you think of my haul? Will you be adding any of these items to your wishlist? I am very pleased with my finds and I am excited to try lots of stuff out and create outfits. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
