It is finally time for my Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2017 review. I can feel the summer vibes with the colorful gradient box. This box definitely has weight to it. It is in the same shoebox-style box as the Spring 2017 box. Let’s take the lid off and see what is hidden.

My impressions thus far is that I love the firework paper. It continues the Summer feeling. There is also a strong fruity-floral scent hitting me in the face. I wonder what is causing the smell?

Ecotools Mask Remover Sponges

The first product in my Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2017 is a full-sized package! These Ecotools sponges gently exfoliate your face while you wash off a mask. I use a mask once per week, so I will definitely try these out. They actually feel like regular household cleaning sponges to me. I wonder if you could find some thin ones and make your own mask remover sponges at home.

Wally’s Organic Body Oil

I have never used a body oil before. This one is for scars, stretch marks, and dry skin. I will try it on some scars and see what happens. It has a zesty herbal scent, the kind of scent that lingers on your fingertips after application.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

This Aveeno lotion claims to provide 24 hour moisturization. Every time I get a lotion sample I use it as a nightly hand lotion, which is what I will do with this one. It is a fragrance-free white lotion.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

I am excited for this sample! I have used the Equate version of these wipes, but not the Simple brand. They are the only makeup remover wipes that do not irritate my eyes! I know that the “sensitive” part is meant for sensitive skin, but they are so kind to my sensitive eyes. This is a seven pack, which is perfect for travel. They feel so soft and thick through the packaging.

Schwarzkopf got2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue

Upon reading this bottle I am assuming the Glued Styling Spiking Glue is a hair gel. Unfortunately, it really is like a glue. It is white, thick, and super sticky. The bottle says that it is a water-resistant gel. You are to apply a small amount to damp hair. I find it odd that this product is all about spiking your hair. The directions state how you can apply this to all of your hair for a spiked effect. Does anyone actually spike their hair anymore? I think this is such a dated product. I use a small amount of hair gel daily to tame the flyaways on the top of my head. I will try doing that with this product just to use it up. Overall I think this is my least favorite product in the box.

Pantene Dreamcare Shampoo and Conditioner

You know me, I am always up for trying a different shampoo and conditioner. While I prefer those for color-treated hair, I will use these up. This set is the culprit causing the fruity-floral smell. I can smell it without opening the bottles. That tells me that they are strongly scented, which may bother some people. This set claims to “fuel” your hair with needed nutrients, such as antioxidants and nourishing lipids while adding strength, shine, softness, and smoothness with effortless detangling. Both have the typical use directions. You massage the shampoo into wet hair, lather, and rinse. The conditioner is to be applied from tips to roots, and then rinsed. I always leave my conditioner on for a while, however. Both of these are a translucent off-white color.

Impress One-Step Gel Press-On Manicure

The last item in my Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2017 review is a nail product. Nail products are absolutely my jam. I have never used Impress before. This is a 30-pack, including six accent nails. This sounds like a full-sized package to me! I like the shade of pink, and appreciate that the nails are matte. Matte nail polish chips easily by nature, so fake nails make enjoying matte manicures more practical. I do see that other subscribers got the nautical nails pictured, and I am so jealous because I am nautical obsessed! This set comes with a cleansing pad, which you use to clean your nails before application. You then peel of the tab on the nail of your choice, revealing the adhesive. Next you apply the fake nail to your own nail, tab-side facing down. Press firmly to secure the nail. You can remove the nails by peeling them off or by getting nail polish remover in between your real nail and fake nails.

Impress One-Step Gel Press-On Manicure

That concludes my Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2017 review. I think that I have mostly usable products, and good sizes for samples! I appreciate the mixture of hair, skin, and nail products. For the most part, the summer theme is met. Do you subscribe to this box? Will you try any of the products? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
