This Play! by Sephora April 2017 review is dedicated to revamping your daily beauty routine by introducing top products into your life. This box is all about focusing on yourself and making sure that you get the most out of your products. I would imagine that we are going to get products that cover a range of issues, such as moisturization and cleansing. There’s only one thing left to do- open the box.
Does anyone else think of Raggedy Anne while looking at this bag?
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
The first product in this month’s Play! by Sephora April 2017 review is Kate Somerville’s Exfolikate. It claims to gently polish the skin, leaving a glowing complexion. This product is to be used one to two times per week. Apply it to wet skin and massage it in for 30 seconds. It can be left on for two minutes for a deeper clean before rinsing. The product is a green gel, and has a natural, plant like scent. I enjoy trying out new skincare products, so I will quickly break into this one.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream
Hyaluronic Cloud Cream is a lightweight moisturizer that hydrates the skin. It is to be used twice daily. The directions state to pat it all over the face and neck. It is a translucent white cream with no distinguishable scent. It sounds like a basic moisturizer to me, just with hyaluronic acid.
Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil
This Aqua XL Eye Pencil claims to be waterproof and budge-proof all day. It also says that it is a makeup artist favorite. I have to say, it swatches smoothly and is very black. However, the tip brakes during swatching.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
In a previous box we got Smashbox’s Pore Minimizing Primer, and I really like it. It honestly works like magic, so I have high hopes for the Photo Finish Primer. This one claims to blur imperfections and create a smooth surface for makeup application, which reduces the amount of touchups needed throughout the day. It is also used on the runway. You are to squeeze a pea-sized amount onto your fingers and apply the primer all over the face. This primer is a clear gel, which is unlike any primer I have seen before. It has no scent.
Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover
I deal with stubborn eye makeup just like the rest of us, so I am intrigued by this Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. It claims to easily remove waterproof makeup, while strengthening lashes. It is supposed to be fine for sensitive eyes. You must shake this product before use as it does separate. It can be applied with any “tool” that you like, such as a cotton pad. It has the consistency of water and has no scent.
Marc Jacobs Daisy
As usual, we conclude this Play! by Sephora April 2017 review with a perfume sample. I have actually heard of Daisy before, which makes me excited. It is primarily a floral perfume that also includes violet leaves, wild strawberries, and jasmine. The scent is girly and playful.
I would say that these products can easily fit into someone’s daily routine, making this box live up to it’s theme. I appreciate that it leans a little bit more to the makeup side of things. Do you like this month’s Play! by Sephora April 2017 review? Do you use any of these products? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
