Walmart Beauty Box Review Spring 2017 – The Trendsetter Box

I am very excited to share my Walmart Beauty Box review for Spring 2017 with you, because this box feels like a winner! The box itself is thick, and has a lid like a shoe box. The products have weight to them, and I can feel them moving inside of the box. I have no idea what to expect, but I have a good feeling. It is time to take the cellophane off and take a peek inside.

Inside the box
I have to say, I really like the decorative paper. I totally saved it, just in case I think of something artsy-fartsy to do with it later.

Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultra Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner

It has been a while since we got any shampoo and conditioner in the box. I am always open to trying new ones. My first observation is that they must not be for color-treated hair. I only use shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair because I read that it is good for bleached hair. However, I cannot actually wash the bleach out, so I am sure this will be fine. These products are for dry, stressed hair. I am sure I can benefit with my bleached hair! There are no directions on the packages, so I assume that general directions apply. They are both white and smell like they have a fruity undertone.

Rimmel Stay Matte Lightweight Liquid Mousse Foundation in 200 Beige

Next up in my Walmart Beauty Box review is a foundation sample. I tend to frown on these because they never are the right shade for me, which deters me from trying them out. I think this shade will be too dark for me, but I will do some internet investigation, This foundation claims to be a lightweight mousse that blends into the skin easily for a natural look. It is also supposed to reduce the appearance of pores. I sure hope this packet contains enough for a one-time use!

Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials

Look familiar? I got this deodorant in my Winter box. I am not complaining though, because I have used it in the past and I really like it. So, keep it coming! It just has a fresh, clean scent that I enjoy. I think it does a good job of controlling odor. I would totally buy it if it was cheaper.

Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Moisturizing Conditioner

According to the package, there is a matching shampoo for this product, but I did not get it. Either way, I am pumped to try this product because my hair is naturally frizzy. It's been frizzy all my life, even before bleach, and nothing has cured it. Again, this is not for color-treated hair, but I do not care. This conditioner is supposed to replenish moisture and eliminate frizz by creating a barrier that locks in hydration. Standard conditioner directions apply. The product is translucent white and smells like your typical perfumed conditioner.

Biore Baking Soda Acne Scrub

I do have problems with acne, so I am always up for trying out a new product. I hope that it works... I may even purchase this if it does. This product is a salicylic acid acne treatment made with baking soda. To apply it you wet your face, massage the product all over, and rinse. I would have to imagine that it is safe for everyday use, as the package does not state otherwise. It is supposed to clear up and prevent acne. The product is white with orange flecks. It obviously smells like baking soda, but I also think it has a citrus thing going on. Maybe it's just in my head from seeing the orange flecks.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant Rose

Well, I got a lipgloss. I am still not a fan of lipgloss. The color is ok, I tend to like mauve/nude pinks over pinky pinks. This product has a rather large and flat doe-foot applicator, which makes it hard to remove and replace from the package. I really had to pull on it to get it out, and push it back in. The color is very sheer. You should probably layer it over another lip color, or wear it alone for a more natural look. This product states that it will make your lips look and feel hydrated for 24 hours.

Colgate Optic White Radiant in Icy Mint

The last product in my Walmart Beauty Box review is a whitening toothpaste with general anti-cavity protection. I have never tried a straight up whitening treatment toothpaste before, so I am curious. The box said that I may have some discomfort for a few days due to the whitening ingredients. I am interested to see if anything noticeable happens to my teeth. This toothpaste is white and smells incredibly minty.

We have reached the bottom of the box. This box definitely leaned more toward the haircare side, which is ok, but I would like to see more variety, especially dipping into nails and makeup. As usual, I appreciate the sizes of these samples, being as that they are free. I do enjoy trying out all of the samples that I get and just having fun with them. This concludes my Walmart Beauty Box review of the Spring 2017 box. Do you subscribe to this box? What products did you get? I want to see them in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
