This month’s Play! by Sephora March 2017 review seems promising just by the theme alone, which is “The Gleam Team.” Lately I am into looking on-point with highlighters and looking glowy in general. I am super pumped for this box, and I hope to get some great highlighters in it. There is a metal canister rolling around inside of the box. Let’s begin.
Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast
The first item in my Play! by Sephora March 2017 review is a full-size sample of Living Proof’s Full Dry Volume Blast. It claims to provide long-lasting volume for fuller, silkier hair, while doubling as dry shampoo. It can be used after styling for extra hold. You are supposed to part your hair and spray it section by section, while holding the can 10″ away from your hair. You can tousle your hair for extra volume.
Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow
Glamglow’s Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer functions as a moisturizer, and even as a primer. It is supposed to hydrate, blur, and enhance your complexion. You are to massage it into your face for one minute. The product has a hard to decipher scent, possibly like an orange cupcake. The product itself is a very shimmery nude color.
Benefit Watt’s Up! Cream to Powder Highlighter
Benefit’s Watt’s Up Highlighter is smooth and provides intense shine. It is golden pink in color. The swatch sets to about 97%, leaving the slightest tacky feeling and does not feel like powder. It is to be applied to the usual areas that you highlight, and then blended with a blending sponge.
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink
I am very impressed by the swatch of the Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick! It is extremely creamy and does not drag, and the pigmentation and shimmer is insane. You can definitely use this as a highlighter, in addition to eyeshadow. The color is true to the color name. The swatch blends out easily and fully sets. While I am suspicious of cream eyeshadow because of creasing, this product is waterproof and is not supposed to crease.
Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm
Josie Maran’s Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm is very shimmery in the pot. It is supposed to provide a soft-focus luminosity, and can be used as a makeup primer or as the last step in your makeup routine. I can definitely see myself using it as a primer. You are to press it into your skin with your fingers or a blending sponge. The cream is white and has no scent.
Chole eau de parfum
The last item in my Play! by Sephora March 2017 review is the Chole perfume. It is a blend of lemony-citrus with floral scents. Chole is mainly a floral scented perfume, including rose, cherry blossom, lemon essence, and freesia.
I think this Play! by Sephora March 2017 review lives up to it’s theme. The lineup is pleasing and I am overjoyed that we finally are getting a break from skincare/skin washing products. I think I will have a lot of fun getting my glow on in the various ways provided. What do you think of this month’s samples? Do you use any of these products? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
