Giordano Colors Nail Collection

First in my what I got for Christmas 2016 nail haul is a super cute gift set from Giordano Colors. This set includes a toe separator, nail file, and makeup bag. I like the colors and I think they are good for beginners.

Bonita Rebel Nails Glitz & Glam

Second is a nail polish collection by Bonita. Bonita is really stepping up their game with this set! The polishes are huge and finally have shade names! I am all about named nail polish because I am in the never ending process of making a swatch book. My favorite is Red Heart because it is unique for my collection. Below are the shade names from left to right.

wet n wild Make em’ Gel-ous!

I absolutely love the 1 Step Wonder Gel polishes, but I do feel that we need to have a small discussion about them. First of all, you need to use at least a topcoat, and even a base coat if you prefer. These polishes claim you only need to use them alone, but they chip very fast (I have tested this). The good news is that the color payoff is insane and they are almost one coaters! You will get some serious shine that almost makes your nails look like acrylics. I know I will love the huge nail files included in this set. Below are the shade names from left to right.

Poparazzi 15 Piece Mini Nail Polish Collection

Fourth are my first nail polishes from Poparazzi. On an initial glance I think the bottles are the cutest thing ever. The colors are great as well. If you are starting out a collection, I think the color variety is perfect. The colors look so rich and smooth. I am interested to try them out and seeing how they apply and hold up

The Color Workshop

Art Deco Nails

You may recognize this set from 2015, but this is the new and improved version. I am digging the fancy gold nail decals. I also love how the jewels come in a triangular shape and are not separate so that I can create a trendy look quickly. You can pack the glitter powder onto your nails using a brush over tacky nail polish.

This is another set you may recognize from 2015, but it has some new colors in it. Some are duplicates, which I will pass on to a friend.

Bundle Monster/Maniology

Glass Stamper Collection

All of these Bundle Monster (now Maniology) products are items I have been pining over for quite a long time, but I never took the plunge. If you have not heard of them, you really need to check them out. They are all about nail stamping and come out with some extremely innovative nail tools that I have not seen from any other company. This first set shown below is a clear stamper that enables you to see exactly where you are stamping, and it comes with a scraper card to scrape the excess polish off of your stamping plate. It also has a spare stamping head. The stamper heads are very squishy, which I think works better than other hard silicon stamping heads.

Creative Art Polishes

Since I do not own any actual stamping polishes, I think it is wise to start with black and white. I feel these are the most commonly used stamping colors in my life. Stamping polishes tend to have a thicker formula so that the stamper can pick them up. Old nail polishes make for good stamping polishes because polish tends to thicken with age!

Poli-peel Cuticle Protector

Poli-peel Cuticle Protector is a latex-based polish that you paint onto the skin around your nails, prior to painting/stamping. When you finish your manicure you peel the protector off to reveal clean skin! I am such a messy painter, and, well, I do not have the time to paint carefully, so this is a must-have in my collection. It honestly takes too long to clean the polish off of your skin after a messy manicure.

Mochi Stamper

Some of you may own some huge stamping plates that have a giant design on them, which you obviously cannot fit onto your little nail. This is where the Mochi stamper comes in. You stamp the Mochi stamper onto one of those huge patterned plates and then you can press each finger individually into parts of the stamp. It also comes with two scraper cards. This stamper is super squishy and almost sticky!

Lotus Mat

I am ultra excited for the last item in my what I got for Christmas 2016 nail haul! The Lotus mat is for serious nail art junkies, and has many purposes. First of all, it keeps your work area clean, as all polishes peel right off of it. You can also use acetone nail polish remover to clean it up if needed, as it is built tough! Usually you can only use non-acetone remover on nail tools because the acetone breaks down made-made materials. This mat also allows you to create your own nail polish strips, decals, and more, since everything peels off. It also has a handy ruler on the bottom. It is a thin, very soft silicon-like mat.
