As you know, most times when elf is doing a sale I jump right on board. For this sale I am buying new to me items, as well as extending my shade range of other products that I do like. I feel that most of these items are highly useful in this elf haul 6, so much so that they will work their way into my everyday routine quickly. Without further ado, let’s get straight into the haul.

Brushes

elf Selfie Ready Powder Blurring Brush

The first item in my elf haul 6 is the Selfie Ready Powder Blurring brush. I am buying it because I am interested in the blurring claim. As far as setting powder application goes, I find the brush is too dense to blur. The directions state that you are to use this brush in a circular motion, which is just fine for foundation and cream product application (which the packaging states it also works well for). When it comes to powder brushes (note that “powder” is in the name of this brush) you should always pat and never use circular motions. It is probably best used to apply foundation.

elf Blush Brush

I really like the way that the blush brush applies blush. The shape and give of the bristles are just perfect. I would not use it for anything else (such as contouring), as the bristles are not dense enough for that type of application.</di

elf Fan Brush

The fan brush that I am using now is too large and not dense enough, causing my highlighter to not show up on my face. I believe that the smaller size and more compact bristles will make this brush work better. So far I am pleased!

Lips

elf Matte Lip Color

If you have been around for any amount of time, then you know exactly what I am going to say about the Matte Lip Color. They are truly matte, set quickly, and do not dry out your lips. They have just the right amount of buildable pigmentation. While using the term “buildable,” I should note that application will not take years. The size of the tip makes product application very easy. I highly recommend these.

elf Moisturizing Lipstick in Flirty & Fabulous

elf’s Moisturizing Lipstick is yet another product that I have reviewed quite a few times in the past. These lipsticks are a great, standard lipstick. Again, they have buildable color just like the Matte Lip Colors. They always have a sweet, cupcake-like scent.

Eyes

elf Prism Eyeshadow in Naked

Every shade in the Prism Eyeshadow Naked palette is a shimmer shade. If that is not your thing, then this palette will definitely be a turnoff. Also, all of the shades in this palette truly are nudes, as well as being light-toned. You will not be able to create a smoky/dramatic look with it. I am OK with that, because some days you are going for a nude look. I have no complaints about the pigmentation.

elf Clay Eyeshadow Palettes

I am anticipating the Clay Eyeshadow Palettes to really pack on the pigment, but they do fall somewhat short. They can be better, but they are not terrible. I really need to rub my fingers in the shadows to get decent swatches. I also notice that some shades are chalky, while only a few are smooth. The real test is trying to apply these eyeshadows with a brush. The color stories are nice.

elf Baked Trio Eyeshadow in Brown Bonanza

I am not a fan of elf’s baked products, but these eyeshadows seem to not be so terrible. Much like the other trio in my collection, the pigmentation is not too bad with Brown Bonanza.

elf Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls

The final item in my elf haul 6 is the Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls. It is not entirely terrible. The shimmery glow is actually quite pretty and it is not hard to get onto your brush.
