We have reached what may be the most fun season in the world of fashion- Fall. We all love the colors and the idea of being cozy yet comfy. My goal in creating this Fall 2016 fashion trends list (and all of my other fashion trend posts) is to make you aware of the current season’s trends so that you can be a smart shopper. Whether you are looking to freshen up your wardrobe or start a new one from scratch, you will want to spend your money wisely on the right pieces to get the job done. I am showcasing pieces from affordable, trendy stores to inspire your inner fashionista.
Fall 2016 Fashion Trends
1) Lace-Ups
The first style in my list of Fall 2016 fashion trends is lace-up pieces. You will see laces on everything, from shirts, boots, dresses, and more. I love how they are playful and spice up any piece to give you that elevated basic aesthetic.
2) Chokers
Second are a personal favorite of mine- chokers! You can literally wear this type of necklace with anything and you will look instantly put together. These are an accessory must-have for sure, as evidenced by my larger than life choker collection.
3) Burgundy/Cranberry/Wine
Third, the hues of burgundy, cranberry, or wine are totally on trend. You can incorporate these colors into your style with any piece you can dream up- pants, chokers, purses, booties, and the list goes on.
4) Suede
Fourth is suede pieces! This cozy fall material is being incorporated into many pieces, including skirts, booties, dresses, handbags, and more. I recommend pairing something suede with other textures for a well-rounded style that appears to be more complicated than it really is!
5) Olive
Next up in this list of Fall 2016 fashion trends is the color olive! Olive can add a fun pop of Fall-appropriate color to any look and it pairs super nicely with denim, gold, and taupe pieces.
6) Over-the-Knee Boots
Continuing on, over-the-knee boots or super tall boots in general are totally on-trend this season. I like to wear them with shorter dresses to provide a warm covering for my legs. They also look great over leggings and jeans while providing a splash of attitude.
7) Booties
The next trend is booties! Seriously, they are always stylish every Fall and Winter. I really dig wearing them with cuff-hem jeans, skater skirts, and dresses. Try experimenting with your heel by opting for wedges, block heels, or even flats.
8) Bodysuits
The last look in this Fall 2016 fashion trends list are bodysuits! I especially love them because they give you that tucked-in look while actually staying tucked-in all day. They are great to pair with jeans, skirts, and can even be used as layering pieces in more complex outfits.
