elf cosmetics is holding what they call a “Final Sale” on their website in order to get rid of some products they are discontinuing or repackaging. I cannot resist diving into this sale because it allows me to get so many ‘new to me products’ to try, as well as some different shades of products that I already love. Since this elf haul series is quite popular, I am back at it again with reviews, swatches, and first impressions of my elf haul 5. These products are super fun, so let’s jump straight into it.

elf Moisturizing Foundation Stick in Ivory

The first product in my elf haul 5 is the Moisturizing Foundation Stick in Ivory. I am impressed by how creamy, but not oily, this product is. It is very easy to swatch, and was not draggy on the skin and blends fairly well. The shade Ivory appears to be a decent shade match.

elf Pressed Mineral Bronzer

Second are two Pressed Mineral Bronzers. I already have two of these bronzers, and I am addicted to them! It is a no-brainer to purchase some more. The sleek packaging is great for storage and the lovely, deep colors are also a plus. Tan Toffee is a matte brown, while Beach Bronze has golden shimmer. It is so hard to not grab for these products day after day.

elf Pressed Powder in Coco

Third is the Pressed Powder in Coco. While I do understand that this pressed powder is for darker complected ladies, I will use it as a contour shade. Luckily, the pigment is awesome and it meets my contour expectations perfectly. It also comes with a powder puff in the bottom of the package, but I will just use a brush. The bottom of the package also has tiny holes so that the powder puff can “breathe.”

elf Blush in Glow

Fourth is elf’s Blush in the shade Glow. This looks essentially like a white blush. I figure it will function as a highlighter, and I am right. How can this be called a blush?! It provides a gentle highlight, perfect for daily wear.

elf Shimmer in Gold

Fifth is Shimmer in Gold, which is a highlighter. While this product appears to be a different color in the pan than the blush above, they swatches very similarly. When it comes down to buying these, I say get one or the other, but not both.

elf Zit Eraser

Next in this elf haul 5 is the Zit Eraser. In using this product for a few days and it looks like there is some improvement with the acne on my forehead. Of course, every skincare product should be used for at least two weeks in order to see results. To use this product you simply twist the back end and product is dispensed through a brush. You then brush the product onto affected areas. It has a slight hand sanitizer-like smell.

elf Lip Kiss Balm

I am not one for tinted lip balms, but as it turns out I really like the Lip Kiss Balms! They have a minty smell and provide a cooling sensation on the lips. They give you enough tint for that “your lips, just pefected” look. I do find them rather moisturizing. Pucker Pink has some shimmer in it, and I like it the best. I note that Pouty Raspberry swatches rather patchy. I have not used that one on my lips yet to make a full decision.

elf Moisturizing Lipstick in Wink Pink

I love the moisturizing lipsticks, so here is another one for my collection. The formula is always soft and creamy, with just the right amount of buildable pigmentation. I like this nude pink shade.

elf Flirty Lash Collection

Since I already have the Everyday Lash collection, and now it is time to try the Flirty Lash collection. While the eyelash glue does not impress me, the tweezers are the perfect size for eyelash application. These lashes are rather dramatic. That does not scare me away!

elf Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow

Wow, I am very impressed by the swatches of the Lustrous Eyeshadows! They are a gel eyeshadow, and they are very creamy and pigmented with lots of shimmer. They remind me of the Smudge Pots. I am blown away by how metallic and metalized they look. I do wonder how well they will work with a brush- using your finger might be the best way to go. They also set nicely, so I imagine creasing will not be a problem.

elf 5 Piece Eyeshadow Set in Night

I am buying this 5-piece Eyeshadow set because the duos always seem to be pigmented. A few of these are rather disappointing, but overall I am not mad at them. I think the bonus eyeshadow brush and eyeliner is creative, yet unnecessary because the eyeliner is the handle of the brush, and you will make it too short to use by sharpening it. The eyeliner is smooth enough that it is not draggy on the skin.

elf Artistry Eyeshadow Palette

Can I just say amazing?! First of all, this Artistry Eyeshadow Palette comes inside of a zippered pouch- how fancy! I am very impressed with the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. I do find them to be rather deceptive in the pan. They often swatch much more shimmery than I expect, but that does not bother me. Even cooler is that the third shade in the top row is a duo-chrome! I note that the black is so pigmented that it blows me away, but it does have a lot of fallout. I will not dock any points because most black eyeshadows have fallout. This is a great item to have in your collection.

elf 50 Piece Makeup Artist Palette

The packaging of this 50-piece Makeup Artist Palette is so classy. I am impressed by the pigmentation of the blush and bronzers, but the eyeshadow unfortunately leaves something to be desired. Some shades are more pigmented than others. Not bad, but I want more quality.

elf HD Blush in Diva

The final item in my elf haul 5 is my third HD Blush. As always, it is super pigmented and bright. To make these more wearable, dispense the smallest amount that you can onto the back of your hand, and then use a stippling brush to apply the product to your cheeks. It does set nicely. Also, be sure to shake the bottle before use.
